HHH Raises Critical Funds at Annual Gala
Rochester, NH (March 21, 2026) — Hope on Haven Hill (HHH) welcomed a packed house to its 6th Annual Hope Springs Eternal Gala, held at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel.
The event, presented by Kennebunk Savings Bank and other generous sponsors, embraced the theme “Unbreakable Hope.” Mosaic imagery adorned the space, symbolizing the beauty and complexity of the families served by Hope on Haven Hill.
The gala raised more than $200,000, a critical contribution to the organization’s operating budget. While HHH receives some federal funding, it relies heavily on donor support to ensure that every woman who needs care has access to high-quality treatment.
“We wouldn’t exist without our donors,” said Board Chair Sue Daigle. “Since breaking ground in 2016, we’ve been uplifted by community leaders, businesses, and neighbors.”
The evening also honored two individuals whose leadership and advocacy have made a lasting impact on women and families affected by substance use disorder.
Lighting the Way Award: Sarah Landres
The Lighting the Way Award recognizes individuals who illuminate critical issues and create meaningful solutions for families. Landres, a partner at Shaheen & Gordon and a founding Board Member and former Board Chair, has played a pivotal role in the organization’s success, helping guide HHH through its capital campaign and the opening of the Center for Hope & Wellness.
“Sarah has been a light for this organization from the very beginning,” said Kerry Norton, Executive Director.
George Vanderheiden Lifetime Service Impact Award: Scarlett Lewis
The George Vanderheiden Lifetime Service Impact Award honors individuals who embody a deep love of family and a dedication to strengthening communities. Scarlett Lewis, founder of the Choose Love Movement, has inspired millions across the U.S. and more than 135 countries. Following the tragic loss of her son, Jesse, in the Sandy Hook shooting, Lewis created programs that teach courage, forgiveness, and compassion. HHH and the Vanderheiden family were honored to present Scarlett with the 2026 Service Impact Award.
