Susan Daigle first connected with Hope on Haven Hill as a volunteer in 2017, providing hands-on support to women and their children through 2020. She joined the Board of Directors in 2020 and has served as Chairwoman since 2022. In addition to her board leadership, Daigle led the organization’s 2021–2022 capital campaign, playing an instrumental role in securing funding to support growth and long-term sustainability.

Sue brings a lifelong commitment to education and service. A former special and elementary education teacher, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential. Daigle’s previous community involvement includes serving on the Exeter Hospital Children’s Committee and chairing the Snow Ball fundraising committee for two years.

Susan is deeply inspired by being part of each woman’s journey at Hope on Haven Hill. She is passionate about ensuring that every woman who walks through the doors feels seen, valued, and worthy of support. She finds the most meaning in watching women grow in their recovery and strengthen connections with their children and with themselves.

Mary Ellen Jackson is an independent nonprofit consultant specializing in strategic planning, board governance, and fundraising. She first partnered with Hope on Haven Hill in 2017, working alongside the founding board to help develop and strengthen the organization’s foundation. From 2018–2019, she served as Interim Executive Director and later continued her involvement as a volunteer during the capital campaign and as a coach to Executive Director Kerry Norton. In 2023, Mary Ellen formally joined the Board of Directors.

Mary Ellen is deeply inspired by Hope on Haven Hill’s vitality and heart. She values being part of an organization that continues to grow and evolve while remaining grounded in its mission. As a board member, she supports HHH through event engagement, serving as a sounding board to leadership, and contributing to critical strategic decisions — work she considers a meaningful and worthwhile investment of her volunteer time.

Mary Ellen earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a focus on Journalism from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from New England College. She also holds certificates in mediation and executive coaching from UNH.

Michael (Mike) Murphy brings more than four decades of financial expertise and community leadership to the Hope on Haven Hill Board of Directors. With several years of board experience across multiple organizations, Michael offers deep knowledge in finance, accounting, tax planning, and financial statement oversight.

A Certified Public Accountant in public practice for over four decades, Murphy owns and operates his own firm, working closely with small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration and a Master of Science in Taxation, equipping him with strong technical expertise and strategic financial insight.

Mike’s passion for service extends to athletics as he is a former Chairman and President of the NH Football Officials Association and past Treasurer of the Joe Yukica NH Chapter of the National Football Foundation. A longtime high school football official, Mike was honored with the Union Leader’s John Clark Officials Award in 2015. He also volunteers as a Peace Greeter, welcoming U.S. troops passing through Pease Air Force Base.

Mike supports Hope on Haven Hill because of its vital mission and meaningful impact within the community. He is proud to contribute his financial expertise to help ensure the organization’s continued strength, sustainability, and service to families in need.

Dr. Rebecca Banaski has been a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist at Garrison Women’s Health Center since 2007. She currently serves as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and as the Medical Director of its ambulatory outpatient offices.

Dr. Banaski has been actively involved in supporting patients with substance use disorders during pregnancy. Her passion for this work led her to join the Board of Hope and Haven Hill in 2019, where she has served as Secretary for the past two terms.

Dr. Banaski earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Danbury Hospital. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Christine LeBlanc resides in Milton, New Hampshire, and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She has built a strong career in the development field and currently serves as Financial Controller for Summit Land Development in Dover. Prior to this role, she spent nine years as Vice President of Finance at McNabb Properties, where she developed extensive experience in financial leadership and strategic oversight.

Christine supports Hope on Haven Hill because of her personal understanding of how substance use disorders affect individuals and families. She believes deeply that the more a community invests in recovery, the greater the opportunity for lasting success. Recognizing that healing often requires collective support, Christine is proud to be part of the village that surrounds women and families with the care, resources, and encouragement they need to rebuild and thrive.

Brandy Rickaby brings both professional leadership and lived experience to her role on the Board of Directors at Hope on Haven Hill. Eight years ago, she was a participant in the program — an experience that profoundly shaped her journey and deepened her commitment to supporting women and families in recovery. She has served on the Board for more than two years.

Brandy currently serves as Executive Director of New Generation, where she continues her dedication to strengthening families and communities. Her perspective as a former participant gives her unique insight into the life-changing impact of Hope on Haven Hill’s work.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of her board service is witnessing firsthand the positive difference the organization makes in people’s lives. She finds it incredibly meaningful to help guide the development of programs and policies that foster healing, instill hope, and promote resilience. Brandy is especially passionate about ensuring that women and children — including families like her own — have access to the support, connections, and resources they need to thrive.

Liz Torrance has been with Kennebunk Savings since 2012 and is currently First Vice President and Social Responsibility Director. She drives the strategic direction and execution of corporate social responsibility and philanthropy, supporting the team that manages grants and sponsorships, the corporate volunteer program, the Community Reinvestment Act program, and social responsibility initiatives. She grew up in Rochester, NH and studied Environmental & Resource Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She currently resides in North Hampton, NH, with her partner, Dave.

Liz is a passionate ally and advocate for the recovery community and recovery supports in the workplace. In addition to the Hope on Haven Hill Board of Directors, she serves on the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Advisory Board, THRIVE 2027 Goal 3 Cabinet, the Granite United Way DEI Committee and the Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation Community Advisory Committee.

Liz is a strong believer in the business community’s power to be a force for good and she is proud to be a part of a purpose-driven organization like Kennebunk Savings.

Tina Nadeau served as Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Superior Court from 2011 until her retirement in 2023. Appointed to the bench in 1996, she previously worked as legal counsel to Governor Steve Merrill and as an assistant attorney general. A champion of criminal justice reform, she led efforts to expand drug courts across New Hampshire, securing statewide funding for treatment-focused alternatives. Justice Nadeau remains active as a senior judge and serves on multiple boards dedicated to recovery, harm reduction, and justice initiatives.

Tess Farley is currently an attorney with Shaheen & Gordon, P.A., where she specializes in family law. Prior to joining Shaheen & Gordon, she served as a staff attorney at a nonprofit legal services organization in Maine, where she represented survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.  

In addition to her legal practice, Farley has worked with Pregnancy Justice (formerly National Advocates for Pregnant Women) and the ACLU of New Hampshire, focusing on protecting the rights of marginalized communities. 

Farley is a graduate of Colby College and the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Her achievements have been recognized with numerous honors, including selection as a 2025 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, and inclusion in the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America 2026 edition for Family Law. 

When asked about what drew her to Hope on Haven Hill’s mission, Farley said “During my time working in reproductive justice, I came to understand that the right to parent—and to do so safely—is often overlooked. Hope on Haven Hill safeguards that right. It’s a vital resource for a particularly vulnerable group in our community, and it’s very meaningful for me to support its mission.”
