Rochester, NH — February 19, 2026 — Hope on Haven Hill (HHH) proudly announces that Sarah Landres, a respected New Hampshire attorney and community leader, will receive the organization’s 2026 Lighting the Way Award at its Annual Gala on March 21, 2026, at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle, NH.
Established at HHH’s inaugural Gala in 2017, the Lighting the Way Award honors individuals who illuminate critical issues impacting women and families affected by substance use disorder and who go above and beyond to create meaningful, lasting solutions. Recipients exemplify courageous leadership, steadfast advocacy, and a deep commitment to strengthening community partnerships that expand access to care and recovery support.
Past Lighting the Way Award recipients include Martha Stone, Dr. Buonomono, Renee Plummer, John Burns, Dr. Janet Perkins, Brad Paige, and former First Lady Valerie Sununu.
Landres has played a foundational role in the growth and long-term success of Hope on Haven Hill. As a founding Board Member and former Board Chair, she helped guide the organization through pivotal milestones, including its capital campaign and the opening of the Center for Hope & Wellness in Rochester. Her strategic leadership and steady guidance were instrumental in building the infrastructure that supports HHH’s innovative recovery model today.
“Sarah has been a light for this organization from the very beginning,” said Kerry Norton, RN, Executive Director of Hope on Haven Hill. “Her leadership, legal expertise, and unwavering belief in our mission helped lay the groundwork for who we are today. She leads with both excellence and heart.”
In addition to her service to HHH, Landres is a partner at Shaheen & Gordon, bringing more than 17 years of experience as a trial lawyer. Prior to joining the firm, she spent twelve years as a trial attorney with the New Hampshire Public Defender, where she represented individuals facing a broad range of criminal charges. She later focused her practice on family law, earning a reputation for thoughtful advocacy and courtroom excellence. Landres also served as a legal consultant for the Presumed Innocent limited series on Apple TV+, advising the creative team with her expertise in the criminal legal system.
Today, Landres continues to support Hope on Haven Hill through her advocacy, community connections, and active service on the organization’s Governance Committee. Her enduring commitment reflects the true spirit of the Lighting the Way Award — honoring those who use their talents and influence to strengthen systems of care for women and children in recovery.
Hope on Haven Hill’s Annual Gala is the organization’s signature fundraising event, bringing together community leaders, partners, and supporters to celebrate recovery and raise critical funds for residential treatment, outpatient services, and supportive housing programs for pregnant and parenting women and their children.
