Urgent Need

Thank You- Baby Formula Drive

Update

Monday November 17, 2025

Hope on Haven Hill received an incredible response to the outreach (below) for baby formula following the government shutdown and suspension of WIC funding. With your help, we have enough formula to feed our babies for the upcoming months. We can’t thank you enough for always showing up for our families!

Urgent: Help Feed Our Babies
Monday, October 27, 2025

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services has warned that if the federal government shutdown continues past this week, both SNAP and WIC benefits will be suspended statewide effective November 1st. WIC funding covers up to 75% of the formula costs for the mothers and infants at Hope on Haven Hill.

What’s at stake:
Two mothers in our care, each with an infant daughter, will lose access to the formula their babies need to survive.

Baby A: Similac Advance Powder Infant Formula with Iron

Baby B: Similac Total Comfort

How you can help:

  1. Donate formula: Bring unopened, unexpired cans of Similac Advance or Similac Total Comfort (not Pro Total) to 40 Charles Street, Rochester, NH 03867, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. To arrange another time, email Emily Sheffield at esheffield@hopeonhavenhill.org.

  2. Order online: Purchase Similac Advance through our Amazon Wishlist.

  3. Buy locally: Similac Total Comfort while not available through Amazon (the kind listed is the “Pro” version and that is not an urgent need at this time), is available at Target, Walmart, and other major retailers.

  4. Give directly: Make a gift on the Donation page of our website and write “Baby Formula” in the comment box.

Your quick response can mean the difference between hunger and hope for these newborns. Thank you for standing with our families.

We can help you find your strength to recover.
