Mary Ellen Jackson Joins HHH Board of Directors

Hope on Haven Hill (HHH) is pleased to announce that Mary Ellen Jackson has been appointed to the agency’s Board of Directors.

Jackson works as a consultant, guiding NH nonprofits in the areas of strategic planning, fundraising and campaign strategy, board development, and more. Previously, she served as the executive director for HUB Family Resource Center, Family Strength, and the NH Center for Nonprofits.

“I have been a long-time supporter of Hope on Haven Hill because it plays a vital role in our community, in both supporting the success of young mothers and their children, and in fighting against the stigma people who are struggling with substance use disorder face,” said Jackson. “Hope on Haven Hill also fosters deeper respect and support for all families and individuals impacted by substance use disorders.”

Jackson has extensive experience working with nonprofit boards throughout her career. Jackson is currently a member of the Goodworks board of directors. Her previous board service includes the NH Fiscal Policy Institute, Strafford Network, and Seacoast United Way.  She also served on the National Council of Nonprofits Board as Secretary.

“We are all thrilled Mary Ellen accepted our invitation to join the board,” said HHH executive director Kerry Norton. “Her passion for the work being done at Hope on Haven Hill is evident. That, coupled with her service within the NH nonprofit community, will be a huge benefit for the organization.”

Jackson graduated from the University of NH (UNH) with a Journalism degree and New England College with masters in Nonprofit Management. She also completed the UNH mediation certificate program and Kellogg School of Management certificate program in management.
