HHH Updates

A Holiday Message from Kerry Norton, HHH Executive Director

Dear Friends,

During this season of gratitude, on behalf of the board and staff at Hope on Haven Hill, I want to express my appreciation to you for your support of our mission and the families we serve. Through your generosity, we were able to help more than 175 women and their babies in 2023, with a range of essential recovery services, important support, and time to heal as they move from despair to hope and stability.

With the support of hundreds of individuals, businesses, and local foundations across the seacoast region and beyond, we were able to open the Center for Hope and Wellness this past May. Today the Center serves as the hub for all our programs, connecting individuals and families challenged by substance use disorders to critical treatment programs and a range of supportive services. And, to our delight, the Center has also become a hub for the community with numerous civic groups and partnering programs taking full advantage of this beautiful building that you all helped create!

Today your investment and volunteer support in Hope on Haven Hill allows us to provide:

  • Residential Treatment for pregnant and parenting women at our original location on the corner of Haven Hill and Rochester Hill Roads in Rochester
  • Transitional recovery housing at Abi’s Place, adjacent to the Center on Charles Street
  • New this year, two affordable rental housing apartments at Camilla’s Place, which were completely rehabbed this past spring, and that now are homes for two deserving families.
  • The Center for Hope and Wellness also offers an Intensive Outpatient Program, counseling, case management services, onsite childcare for all women at HHH, and wellness programs, life skills, and workplace training programs.

I wish I could tell you that the need for our services has decreased, but sadly the opioid epidemic continues. However, the flip side is that we are seeing so many families thrive after graduating from our programs.

Hope on Haven relies on fundraising from caring individuals such as yourself for 30% of its budget. Your donations keep our doors open. We are grateful to be part of this wonderful community that entrusts us to provide critical substance use disorders treatment programs and services for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting women and their children.

We hope you will consider donating to support the life changing services offered by Hope on Haven Hill.

Warm Regards,

Kerry Norton, RN, Executive Director
