Services at Hope on Haven Hill

Hope on Haven Hill is a 501 c3 non profit organization located in the southeastern part of New Hampshire. The organization serves pregnant and parenting women who are battling substance use disorder and who are in need of residential treatment, outpatient treatment, case management and transitional housing. We currently offer the following services:

Residential Services

The residential treatment program, located on the corner of Rochester Hill Road and Haven Hill Road in Rochester, engages homeless and imminently homeless pregnant and postpartum women in an intensive four to eight month (on average) residential treatment program.

Women live on site and participate in daily group treatment sessions, individual therapy, parenting education, prenatal and post-natal care classes and an assortment of well-being and recovery programming.  The program is licensed by the state and overseen by a master’s level Clinical Director.  The house is staffed 24/7 and can accommodate eight women and their babies with approximately 40-45 women in residence over a year’s time. Each woman has an individualized treatment plan and is assigned casework to help navigate community services and plan for re-entry into the community with the new mother.

Intensive Outpatient Services

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is open to all women needing addiction treatment and recovery support as an alternative to residential treatment.  The IOP Phase 1 program engages participants in a 3-hour x3 sessions per week treatment program for 6 weeks and follows the national guidelines for IOP programming. Phase 2 programming is available after completing Phase 1.  IOP Phase 2 meets 2x weekly for 1 hour, for 4 weeks. Childcare is available for participants.  (See Outpatient Services page for additional information.)

Transitional Housing Services

This past July, Hope on Haven Hill opened Abi’s Place, an eight-bedroom transitional house designed to provide homeless women, who have completed residential treatment for substance use disorder and their children, with a place to live while they secure a job, build a recovery support network, develop healthy parenting skills and ready themselves to become residents of our community.

Abi’s House, located in downtown Rochester, addresses a critical need these women face - the need for safe, sober shelter where they can gain support, share childcare and take the steps needed to sustain a sober, productive life. Abi’s Place is also staffed 24/7 and all the residents must be employed, pay rent and commit to sobriety. All residents participate in parenting and recovery programming and take advantage of additional services in the community.
