Jen Stout, LICSW, MLADC
Jen’s work in the substance use field began in 1993, volunteering at a needle exchange in north Philadelphia in college, and has been in the substance use and mental health treatment field ever since. In 2001, Jen received an MA in sociology, researching issues around heroin addiction and parenthood in North Philadelphia. Jen then switched fields to pursue direct service and counseling, receiving a Masters in Social Work in 2004 from Boston University. Since moving to the Seacoast in 2004, she has worked in Community Mental Health as a Clinical Case Manager, a Psychological Crisis Response Worker, and a Substance Use Disorder Counselor.
Jen began to focus her treatment on co-occurring disorders in 2011, specifically focusing on the ways in which trauma in early childhood impact adult life. Jen has worked as a counselor with the Mobile Health Van at Families First, and as IOP Director at Goodwin Community Health. Jen has offered a number of trainings on Trauma-Informed Care throughout the Seacoast.
